Tango is blooming again these days! The Berlin organizers use this energy of spring to create a colorful program for EMBRACE. #BackToTango – this is the central message! EMBRACE wants to make visible what distinguishes tango in Berlin: the lovingly designed venues, the roaring milongas, the professional tango artists and of course the many great dancers! We are happy that the tango schools are on board.The program is in large parts, but still growing.

The combination of these two incredible Tango dancers Mariana and Fernando is relatively new. Both have travelled with different partners to Berlin before. Mala Junta is looking forward to welcome them for the second year to give workshops and dance a show together!

WS 1) 13:00 - 14:30 Awareness for a comfortable, dynamic and aesthetic Tango

We will work on our awareness of the position at our axis and the possibilities of contact in the couple

WS 2) 14:45 - 16:16  Circular movements in different sequences (Mariana & Fernando)
intermediate
Listening in the transition from frontality to circularity, exercises for better coordination 
This class is also about how figures change with its navigation. This knowledge is important for a good overview on the dancefloor
 

WS 3) 16:30 - 18:00 Tango technique I with Mariana

On Saturday  Mariana Montes und Fernando Galera will perform around 23:30 in Ballhaus Rixdorf (Kottbusser Damm 76, 10967 Berlin) at the Grand Milonga of Felix Hahme and Michael Rühl

Ornaments and how to insert them into the music

WS 5) 14:45 - 16:15 The shape of Boleos (Mariana & Fernando)
intermediate to advanced
We will study through the ornament and the boleo the work of our weight and the interaction and relationship between the movements of followers and leaders while listening to eachother and the music

WS 6) 16:30 - 18:00 Milonga (Mariana & Fernando)
intermediate
stay connected and enjoy the rhythmical play of Milonga
